That's a persuasive argument and I've seen it given in one of those e-mails that gets forwarded around millions of times. This, however, the first time I've seen it linked or attributed to Einstien - I was skeptical. I checked it out on Snopes (they could never be wrong, right?) and they classify it as "FALSE" which confirmed my original skepticism. However, after reading their full explanation as to why they claim its false, I began to wonder whether they would even tell us if they found it were true. The writer of the piece at Snopes seems to go to great length to defend "atheist professors". Interesting.

The argument made in the video, however, is presuasive enough whether it comes from Einstien or some dirty school boy. As the Snopes article points out, there can be no proof of that which is faith - or faith would not be necessary. As such, the existence of God cannot be definatively proven. Unmentioned at Snopes is that he can neither be disproven. That, I believe, is by design.
One interesting side note - If God does not exists, then how is it that we mostly agree on what is "evil"?
This is apparently a television commercial from Macedonia aimed at bringing religion back into education.
Is it true that the existence of God cannot be proved? Maybe it depends on the definition of "proved", but I think it can be proved with more certainty that many things taken as scientific fact.
If God does not exist, what would be the purpose of proofs. Once one crosses the line of no absolute standard or no creator that we are all accountable to, it simply becomes persuasion and power that rules or controls the day. Therefore, to prove God doesn't exist opens the door to might makes right or real. There is no longer any absolute to check for reality.
